The tasks of the department include the preparation of bibliographic data (physical characteristics and classification data) of new books and serials as well as archive collections of AGH University Main Library and branch libraries.
The collections are prepared according to the MARC21 standard and the VTLS/Virtua Integrated Library System.
AGH University Main Library participates in the creation of NUKAT - the union catalog of Polish research libraries.
