Information services
The library's primary function is information activity, such as information retrieval and delivery for a wide circle of information users, the circulation of collections, and the organization of access to e-sources. Rules for the use of library collections are defined in the Regulations on the use of AGH University Main Library and branch libraries
Information services include:
- assistance in bibliographical and factual searches of literature on a given subject based on electronic and printed sources of information,
- compilation of thematic bibliographic lists for researchers and industry (on request),
- performing citation analysis of scientific publications based on available scientific databases,
- information on the Main Library collections, the collections of branch libraries, and other Polish and foreign libraries (such information can also be obtained in the Circulation Department and Independent Section for Interlibrary Cooperation and Collection Inventory).
Services are provided on the basis of an information workshop comprising printed collections (e.g. bibliographies, lexicons, dictionaries, reference works) and electronic information sources (databases, e-journals, e-books).
