Information on the processing of personal data (GDPR)
GENERAL INFORMATION
OF A PERSONAL DATA ADMINISTRATOR
Fulfilling the obligation to provide information under Art 13 (1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, Official Journal of the EU L 119 of 4.5.2016, hereinafter referred to as "GDPR", we inform you that:
- The administrator of your personal data is the AGH University of Krakow, al. A. Mickiewicza 30, 30-059 Kraków.

- Your personal data will be processed by AGH for identification and contact purposes (notifying you of the availability of ordered and reserved books, reminding you if you miss the deadline for returning books, contacting you on matters related to the proper implementation of library services), for training purposes, as well as for possible redress in the event of non-payment of the reader's obligations to the Main or a branch library.
- Your personal data will be processed under Article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR, i.e. the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest in connection with the provisions of Article 49(2) of the Act of July 20, 2018. - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1668, as amended; i.e., Journal of Laws 2022, item 574)* and §38(5) of the Statute of AGH University (consolidated text dated October 27, 2021)**.
- The recipient of your personal data will be employees of the AGH University. The recipients of your personal data will be AGH employees. The recipients of your personal data may be entities providing IT and administrative services to AGH. Your personal data may be transferred to state authorities, legal protection bodies (Police, Prosecutor's Office, Court) or local government bodies in connection with ongoing proceedings.

Your personal data will be processed for the period of use of the Library's collection and for the period of the statute of limitations for claims related to the use of the Library's offer, and after this period, only if and to the extent required by law. If you do not use the Library's services, your data will be processed for a period of 6 years from the date of your last account activation or until you request deletion of your data.

Your personal data will not be subject to automated decision-making processes, including profiling.

You have the right to request from AGH access to your data and the right to rectify your data, the right to restrict the processing of your data, and the right to object to the processing of your data in the cases and under the conditions specified in the GDPR. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you violates the provisions of the GDPR. Provision by you of the data referred to in sec. 3, is voluntary, but is a necessary condition for using the Library's services. The consequence of not providing the data is the inability to use the Library.
