AGH University Main Library has been qualified for funding from the state budget, granted by the Minister of Education and Science within the framework of the program "Social Responsibility of Science II" - Module: Support for scientific libraries.

The objective of the project is the dissemination of scientific and technical information on the collection of corporate catalogs, technical product brochures, and exploitation and application guides from the years 1955-1989, from the collection of the AGH University Main Library, being a source of information on the history of Polish mining technology and scientific achievements in the centrally planned economy of the People's Republic of Poland, as well as making them available in digital form on computers in the reading rooms of the AGH University Main Library, on the intranet and in open access via the AGH Repository, depending on the condition of copyright.
The project will involve the digitization of company catalogs, technical product brochures, and mining handbooks from the years 1955-1989, from the collections of the Library. The selection of objects for digitization was based on their: historical and scientific value, the poor state of preservation, importance for the dissemination of science, and uniqueness in terms of publishing.
The largest part of this collection is made up of technical prospectuses of products as well as mining and application manuals of the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology.
As a result of the project, 314 digitized objects - company catalogs, technical prospectuses of products as well as exploitation and application guides on mining issues (total number of scans: 12900) will be made available on workstations in the reading rooms of the Library, on the intranet and in the AGH Repository.
